Educational Purpose
PharmaFall turns drug-target recognition into a fast, replayable arcade task. It helps learners practise quick associations between medicines, targets, mechanisms, and clinical anchors.
The app is part of the PharmaNUS collection of free pharmacology learning webapps, which are developed and updated in response to learner feedback for students and medical and health professions learners.
What Learners Practise
- Drug-target and drug-class recognition
- Mechanism of action pattern recognition
- Fast recall under time pressure
- Connections between medicines and clinical anchors
How To Play
- Start a PharmaFall round.
- Watch the falling drug or target prompts.
- Match each item with the correct target, class, or mechanism.
- Use feedback to correct weak associations.
- Replay to improve accuracy and speed.
Use In Teaching
PharmaFall can be used as a short independent practice activity, a warm-up before class, a revision task after teaching, or a prompt for small-group discussion. It works best when paired with debriefing, explanation, and connection back to core pharmacology concepts.
